Love Next Door is a drama I’m super excited for! It stars two of my favorite actors — Jung So Min (Alchemy Of Souls) and Jung Hae In (Snowdrop), it’s a sort of frenemies-to-lovers plot and it has a slice-of-life vibe. The drama is written by the screenwriter of Hometown Cha Cha Cha.

The Korean series is about a woman who wants a fresh start after going through a rough phase and a man who is her mom’s friend’s son. They used to spend a lot of time together as kids. They meet again as adults. Presently, he is an architect and she worked as a project manager but she quit her job. He is marked as the dark chapter in her life for some reason.

Love Next Door released script reading pictures a few days back. I’m glad to see many supporting actors that I like, especially Jang Young Nam (Like Flowers In Sand). The second leads are played by Kim Ji Eun (Again My Life) who plays both the main leads’ childhood friend and an emergency responder, and Yoon Ji On (My Lovely Liar) who stars as a reporter who moves next door to Kim Ji Eun’s character. Yay for secondary couple and their love story rather than love squares and triangles!

Love Next Door will air on tvN and it premieres on August 17.
