I wish Splash Splash Love was a 16 episode drama! I adore Kim Seul Gi. She was a scene stealer in Flower Boy Next Door as the sleep deprived editor (with a cute love line with Go Kyung Pyo) and was fantastic in recently wrapped Oh My Ghostess. I was so happy that she was confirmed as main lead in upcoming MBC drama Splash Splash Love but alas, it’s a 2 episode drama short. Well, on the upside, it looks absolutely adorable and the hero opposite her is Yoon Doo Joon. I have not seen any of his works but have heard so many good things after starring in popular Let’s Eat franchise that I’m excited for this pairing.

Splash Splash Love is a time travel story in which Kim Seul Gi plays a high school senior who can’t study Maths (well, it was my favorite subject, LOL) and on the day of her college entrance exam, she is so distressed that she accidentally falls into a puddle that transfers her somewhere in Joseon era. She meets a workaholic king, played by Yoon Doo Joon, and funnily, he loves Maths. The drama will portray their love story as they learn and grow with each other. I hope this will have a happy ending.

Splash Splash Love will air as a 2 episode short from 30 November on MBC. The stills look so cute! Sageuks are usually not my thing but this kind of fusion periodic drama is right up my alley.
