When I first read the name of new tvN drama Catch The Ghost, I thought it was going to be a supernatural comedy. Turns out, it is about catching a serial killer known as ‘The Ghost’. The show is set around the background of police officers who guard the subway. Moon Geun Young is returning to comedy after serious roles in last few dramas like Village: Secret Of Achiara and Goddess of Fire. It has also been 4 years since she did a TV drama. She plays a rookie officer who is also in search of her missing twin sister. Kim Sun Ho plays her rule-abiding superior. The actor was last seen in Laughter in Waikiki 2 and this will be his first major main lead role after impressing the viewers with his performance in shows like Chief Kim and 100 Days My Prince.

The cast also includes one of my favorite supporting actors, Jung Yoo Jin of Something in the Rain and Romance Is A Bonus Book fame. She stars as the head of the regional investigation unit. I think the drama will be of episodic nature with a main underlying mystery to solve.

Catch The Ghost will air on Mondays and Tuesdays and is directed by the PD of Rooftop Prince and Please Come Back, Mister. The premiere date is October 21.
