Jang Ok Jung, Live For Love is the upcoming sageuk, that will be a reimagining of the famous historical tale about the villain Jang Ok Jung, known for her manipulations and plotting. She was responsible for the deposition of Queen In Hyun. She was later sentenced to death after the king found out about her crimes. But in this drama, she will be shown in a different light, and will be a fashion designer and cosmetics maker. As she is the protagonist, I wonder how the show will show her in a completely 180 degree change. Kim Tae Hee (My Princess) will play the titular role, and will be doing her first historical role. I have seen her in only 1-2 epiosdes of Love Story In Harvard and that too in my earliest drama days, so I count it as null but I find her really pretty and graceful.

I’m more interested for the male leads here: Yoo Ah In and Jae Hee. I loved Yoo Ah In in Sungkyunkwan Scandal (a sageuk) and as he is returning to the same genre, I can surely hope a lot of goodness!! He is playing King Sukjong. Jae Hee (Delightful Girl Choon Hyang) is another actor, for whom I have a special liking. He will be doing the role of Jang ok’s first love. Err..that doen’t mean that he is gonna be a second lead, right? Moving on to his role, both of their love comes to an end when she enters the palace as a court lady. He moves to China and returns after becoming a powerful person. Queen In hyun will be played by Hong Soo Hyun (The Princess’ Man).
