Now I think I’m on board with upcoming medical drama Medical Top Team about the top doctors and their power struggle. I was already getting interested in this show with boring set-up but exciting cast when Jung Ryu Won joined it, but now with these new additions of Joo Ji Hoon and Kpop group SHINee‘s Min Ho, I can count myself in for the drama. Well, I have widely separate reasons regarding my excitement for the two actors. I loved Joo Ji Hoon in Goong (the drama was boring, he was cute) and I want to see more of him (I’m gonna make sure to watch his movie Antique Bakery pretty soon as it’s lying on my plan-to-watch list for so long). In fact, I was trying to rewatch Goong a few days back with mom, but the drama literally moved forward at snail’s pace. Finally, after 5 episodes we switched to King Of Dramas, which made the difference in speed more visible as the latter is a roller coaster ride!! Anyways, as far as Min Ho is concerned, I haven’t seen his drama To The Beautiful You but I think he is cute (call me shallow) and as I initially assumed this drama as a serious take, this new member makes the feel lighter, I guess.

Joo Ji Hoon will take on the role of a man who is gentle in outward appearance but is actually cold and calculating. Quite opposite to our other male lead Kwon Sang Woo‘s character, who is cold-outside, warm-inside type. Min Ho will play the third-year resident in thoracic surgery, who has a one-sided crush on Oh Yeon Seo’s character and is a nice guy (inside and out.)

Medical Top Team will follow Two Weeks, which is premiering next week and that places its premiere in October on MBC.
