I’m happy with this news and there is a rise in my interest in the upcoming alien rom-com drama My Man From Another Star with Yoo In Na joining the cast that already includes Kim Soo Hyun and Jeon Ji Hyun in the lead roles. I liked her in Best Love where she played a bubbly second lead who was harmless and only showed some petty jealousy in the negative character department, but loved her in her leading role in time-travel-done-right drama Queen In Hyun’s Man. She is cute beyond words and has that ebullient persona which makes her very endearing. Also addition comes with Park Hae Jin (My Daughter Seo-young).

I think this comes once in a blue moon when I watch non stop, back to back dramas of the same channel and the same slot. SBS is on a roll with giving so many popular shows this year in the Wednesday-Thursday slot: I Hear Your Voice, Master’s Sun and now Heirs which will be followed by My Man From Another Star, which has already created quite a buzz as it marks Jeon Ji Hyun’s return to small screen after 14 years. Kim Soo Hyun plays an alien who came to earth some 400 years back and remained here to finally fall in love with a top actress, played by Jeon Ji Hyun. It’s funny that Yoo In Na has played actress role twice in her previous shows but here she will play our heroine’s rival who is a Harvard graduate and an announcer.

Yunho is in talks to play Jeon Ji Hyun’s fiance but has not confirmed yet. Park Hae Jin will play his elder brother and a second-generation chaebol who leads a mysterious life. Hm. Maybe, he has something to do with our alien hero. That’s intriguing.

My Man From Another Star premieres in December and is written by the writer of You Who Rolled In Unexpectedly and directed by PD of Tree With Deep Roots. A very efficient team indeed.
