Cheese In The Trap, the highly anticipated drama for tvN, is rapidly adding lots and lots of names in its cast. Being an adaptation of a highly popular webtoon by the same name, fans’ eyes are on it from the starting. Park Hae Jin and Kim Go Eun have already been confirmed as the main leads of this university-centred romance with slice-of-life flavour. Nam Joo Hyuk, who last appeared in Who Are You- School 2015 will join as our heroine’s friend and junior, a bit clumsy and awkward guy who is reliable and trustworthy. I really liked him in all the stills I saw for his last drama, which I skipped. There was this huge shipping war as well — and of course, I was rooting for him (I read only some recaps and plots here and there). Then we have Kim Ki Bang (who played restaurant owner in Boys Before Flowers where Kim So Eun‘s character worked) and Lee Woo Dong, who will play a gay couple. Delightful Girl Choon Hyang cast will always have a special place in my heart and I’m always happy to see them in a drama. Moon Ji Yoon, who played Jae Hee‘s bestie Ji Hyuk, has been cast as Park Hae Jin’s classmate. Kim Hee Chan, who debuted as Gong Hyo Jin‘s cute younger brother in Producers, will again play our heroine’s younger brother. Ji Yoon Ho (High School King of Savvy) has also been cast. Confirmations aside, Seo Kang Joon (What Happens To My Family, Cunning Single Lady) is in talks to join as second male lead, who is described as a guy with a rebellious persona.
I think the cast is full of young names, which is fitting as Cheese In The Trap will depict college life. In additional news, the premiere date for the drama has been pushed back to December.
