Oh this show looks super ADORABLE! And it’s totally on my list of dramas for which I’m bright-eyed and bushy-tailed. One, it stars Nam Ji Hyun , who I loved a lot in Shopping King Louis. Then it also stars pop group EXO‘s D.O. opposite her who I have only seen in his powerful guest appearance in I Remember You and he is one of the few idol actors who have received praise for their acting (It’s Okay, It’s Love, movie My Annoying Brother). And he is super cute! The story sounds endearing as well — marriage of convenience! That just sounds like a perfect setting. A funny and romantic sageuk is my favorite kind of historical drama and totally up my alley, having loved shows like Sungkyunkwan Scandal and Moonlight Drawn By The Clouds in the past.

100 Days My Prince stars D.O. as a fictional Joseon crown prince who goes missing after falling off a cliff due to an assassination attempt and then loses his memory. He meets Nam Ji Hyun’s country girl who is the oldest unmarried woman in the Joseon Kingdom. He is forced to marry her due to an order passed by the prince himself according to which unmarried people should get married in order to end the drought which has made everyone’s life in the region miserable.

The drama comes from the writer of She’s So Lovable, which made me wary but then her other dramas make me hopeful — Scent Of A Woman and Dr. Champ. 100 Days My Prince hits the airwaves on September 10 and will air on tvN in the Monday-Tuesday slot.
