tvN is bringing a comedy thriller drama titled The Killer’s Shopping List, starring Lee Kwang Soo (Live), AOA‘s Seolhyun (My Country) and Jin Hee Kyung (Doctor Prisoner, Hello, Me!). The story is about the search for a murderer when a body is found near an apartment building in a simple neighbourhood on the outskirts of Seoul.

Lee Kwang Soo plays a cashier at a supermarket, which is owned by his character’s mother, played by veteran actor Jin Hee Kyung. Seoulhyun plays his girlfriend, who is a police officer. When the body is found near her apartment, they decide to hunt the killer. A supermarket receipt is found with the body, which becomes crucial to solve this mystery.

Based on a 2018 novel of the same name, The Killer’s Shopping List is written for the screen by the writer of shows like The Ghost Detective and Wanted. It starts airing on April 27, as a Wednesday-Thursday drama. I think the story sounds really cool and belongs to the comfort mystery genre — mixing comedy and thrills. Bonus: it has only 8 episodes!
