Recipe For Farewell (or It May Be a Little Spicy Today) is the upcoming drama on Watcha and it sounds all kinds of warm and tender. It stars two powerhouse actors with Han Suk Kyu (Romantic Doctor, Teacher Kim) and Kim Seo Hyung (SKY Castle). Basically a recipe of all things good! The show is a slice of life story based on a non fiction book Oneuleun Jom Maewoolji Molla by Kang Chang Rae. It’s a tale of love between husband and wife.

Han Suk Kyu plays a a translator and a humanities instructor who doesn’t know much about cooking. His wife, played by Kim Seo Hyung, is the head of a publishing company. One day she is diagnosed with colon cancer and has difficulty in eating. So she asks her husband to cook for her everyday. She starts eating little bit of his food everyday, the meals which he cooks with love and care.

It surely sounds like a heart touching story that would make us smile and cry. The drama is directed and written by Lee Ho Jae, who has written and directed movies The Scam (2009) and Sori: Voice From The Heart (2015). Recipe For Farewell premieres next week on December 1 with a total of 12 episodes. I simply love this new trend of 12 episodes!
