I’m super excited for new drama Lies Hidden In My Garden. It is a mystery thriller headlined by Kim Tae Hee and Im Ji Yeon. It is based on a novel of the same name and has another title, House With A Yard.

Kim Tae Hee is doing a very different genre this time in comparison to her past shows (Hi Bye Mama, My Princess). She plays a woman living a perfect life with her doctor husband, played by Kim Tae Oh (Money Heist: Korea – Joint Economic Area) and children. Meanwhile, Im Ji Yeon, who recently gained lots of popularity with The Glory, plays a a pregnant woman who suffers from domestic violence. Her husband, played by Choi Jae Rim (Green Mothers’ Club), is a salesman at a pharmaceutical company. Things take a weird turn when Kim Tae Hee’s character notices a suspicious smell in her backyard. She starts suspecting there is a dead body buried there. The two women then team up to investigate it.

‘Amateur detective’ has always been one of my favourite tropes in thrillers. And this one has two! The plot sounds like a thrilling ride, full of twists and turns. The show is premiering today on ENA. It is helmed by the PD of shows like Twenty-Five Twenty-One and The King: Eternal Monarch.
