Oh this seems like a cute pairing even if the drama isn’t exactly romantic. Park Bo Gum and Kim So Hyun are confirmed for upcoming JTBC series Good Boy. It is about gold medalists in sports who start a new career path — being special police officers.

Park Bo Gum plays a former Olympic gold medalist boxer and Kim So Hyun plays a former Olympic gold medalist in shooting who presently are a part of the police force. The drama depicts how they use their skills as a sports person in the field of fighting crime. Also, it will depict the contrast they see in both the fields — rules and regulations in sports against the unethical deeds done by the criminals which they witness as police officers.

The premise adds a fresh layer to very common “investigators” trope, albeit being episodic. I really like both the actors, so that’s definitely the main attractive factor.

Park Bo Gum has another upcoming drama opposite IU that’s slated for 2024 release. Kim So Hyun was last seen in My Lovely Liar and has another drama coming up with Chae Jong Hyeop.

Good Boy is written by the screenwriter of lauded dramas like Life On Mars and Chief Of Staff. It plans on airing in the second half of 2024.
