I loved Ahn Jae Hong and Esom both in their past dramas and roles (for reference: Because This Is My First Life, Be Melodramatic, Reply 1988) and I’m excited to see what they bring to the table with their collaboration in new TVING drama LTNS.
The plot sounds zany and fun: A married couple finds itself in a state where affection has gone down and there is no excitement in their relationship, it has also become a sexless marriage. Hence the title LTNS — Long Time No Sex. Esom plays the wife, a hotelier and Ahn Jae Hong plays the husband, a man who graduated from a prestigious university but presently works as a taxi driver. Both of them decide to earn money by blackmailing people who are having extramarital affair. In the process, they reflect on their own broken marriage.
LTNS is arriving today with only 6 episodes. The drama actually reunites Esom and Ahn Jae Hong as they did a movie together back in 2018, titled Microhabitat, which received lots of praise. The actors also reunite with the writer-director of the movie, Jeon Go Woon as she has also penned and directed LTNS, along with writer-director Im Dae Hyung, who has written and directed movies like Moonlit Winter (2019) and Merry Christmas Mr. Mo (2017). A strong behind-the-camera team for sure!
