After having lots of premieres in past few months, February gives time for some breather. Despite low number of new shows, there is a variety of genres to pick from:
Branding In Seongsu

Premiere Date: February 5
Network: U+mobiletv
Stars: Kim Ji Eun (One Dollar Lawyer), Lomon (All Of Us Are Dead)
Slot: Monday to Thursday
Number Of Episodes: 24
Genre: Romance, Fantasy, Comedy
Synopsis: Souls of a prickly marketing team leader and an intern swap after an an unintentional kiss.
Thoughts: Gender swap stories can be really fun but now exactly my favorite trope in rom-coms. I do love workplace romance stories. I’ll wait for the reviews to decide on this one!
A Killer Paradox

Premiere Date: February 9
Network: Netflix
Stars: Choi Woo Shik (Our Beloved Summer), Son Suk Ku (My Liberation Notes), Lee Hee Joon (Mouse)
Slot: Friday (All episodes released together)
Number Of Episodes: 8
Genre: Thriller, Mystery. Comedy
Synopsis: A man accidentally kills a serial killer, leading to a detective trying to catch him relentlessly.
Thoughts: With a fresh twist on serial killer thrillers, the drama also boasts two amazing actors in the lead roles. I’m excited for this cat-and-mouse chase tale.
Wedding Impossible

Premiere Date: February 26
Network: tvN
Stars: Jeon Jong Seo (Money Heist: Korea – Joint Economic Area), Moon Sang Min (Under the Queen’s Umbrella), Kim Do Wan (My Roommate Is A Gumiho)
Slot: Monday & Tuesday
Number Of Episodes: 12
Genre: Romance, Comedy
Synopsis: An unknown actress decides to have a fake marriage to help her friend and be a main character for the first time in her life. But his younger brother (her future brother-in-law) is desperately opposed to this marriage as it hinders his own goals.
Thoughts: Color me excited! This looks like a true romantic comedy with lots of fun hijinks. On the shallow side, the leads look so gorgeous too!
The Impossible Heir

Premiere Date: February 28
Network: Disney+
Stars: Lee Jae Wook (Alchemy Of Souls), Lee Joon Young (May I Help You), Hong Soo Joo (Sweet Home 2)
Slot: All episodes released together
Number Of Episodes: Not specified yet
Genre: Drama
Synopsis: Three people — an intelligent and cold but dignified man who is the son of a murderer, an illegitimate son of a large conglomerate and the daughter of a debt collector — desire to reach the top by bringing down the throne of the said conglomerate.
Thoughts: The plot sounds very melodramatic but has potential to be a gripping tale. The cast looks good too.
Pyramid Game

Premiere Date: February 29
Network: TVING
Stars: Bona (Kpop group WJSN; Twenty-Five Twenty-One), Jung Ha Dam (Sweet Home), Ha Yool Ri, Kang Na Eon (Blind)
Slot: Thursday
Number Of Episodes: 10
Genre: Thriller, Action, Drama
Synopsis: It’s about an all-girls high school where each student gets graded through a popularity vote monthly and if they receive an F grade, they are officially appointed as the target of school violence. A new transfer student then decides to end this twisted and problematic system by leading a rebellion against it.
Thoughts: The plot sounds really disturbing, gruesome and dark.
