Lovely Runner (2024)
Watched: 8 Episodes
Swoon! This show has won my heart completely! It carries all kinds of feels with it — cute, sweet, hot (ep 8!!), nail biting thrills, romantic, funny. Byeon Woo Seok has completely changed my first impressions of him from Record Of Youth — he is so good here. Kim Hye Yoon is amazing as well. Together they are creating magic! The time travel rule where her original self of the past forgets everything that her present self does — I didn’t like it at first but after watching 8 episodes, I think it adds to the present angst and tension. Anyway, I can’t wait to see the main couple get their happy ending together!
Frankly Speaking (2024)

I found the premiere episode okay. It made me laugh at certain moments — even the toilet humor, which is otherwise my pet peeve. I ignored ep2 because I was busy swooning over Lovely Runner but I’ll try to watch it soon!
The Midnight Romance In Hagwon (2024)
Watched: 1 Episode
I liked the realistic, natural vibe of episode 1. It has the distinct style of PD Ahn Pan Suk. I love that the leads reunion wasn’t laced with grand music or reactions that are so common in movies and TV shows. It just flowed so naturally. I liked the lead characters and their easy rapport and chemistry. I just want the workplace/students-their-parents hijinks to take up less space in the episodes.
Next on my plan:
Uncle Samsik
The Atypical Family
Dreaming of Cinde Fxxxing Rella
The 8 Show
Chief Detective 1958
