The new TVING rom-com Dreaming Of A Freaking Fairytale (previously going by Dreaming of Cinde Fxxxing Rella!) is bringing a twist to the classic Korean drama tale of poor woman-rich man love story. Usually the heroine is innocent and righteous but in this drama, the main character wants to become a Cinderella after suffering through harsh realities of life — by getting married to a rich man. I’m sure she’ll eventually fall in love for real and undergo growth along the way, but I like this fresh take on the standard Cinderella trope.

Pyo Ye Jin (Moon In The Day) plays the aforementioned woman who starts working as a manager at a social club in order to fulfill her goal. Lee Jun Young (Kpop group U-KISS; The Impossible Heir) plays an heir of a wealthy family and CEO of the club. He doesn’t believe in love. The supporting cast includes Kim Hyun Jin (Cheer Up) as a film director and Song Ji Woo (Doctor Slump) as the male lead’s fiancée.

Dreaming Of A Freaking Fairytale is slated to have a total of 10 episodes and will air on Fridays from tomorrow.
