There are so many dramas coming up in next two months that I don’t even know how I’ll manage to accommodate them. I guess I’ll have to cherry pick the shows based on my interest and their appealing power. I’ll keep the rest on shelf for later viewing. I’m listing the dramas that are starting in September and the factor that one might find intriguing about them.

Will You Love and Give It Away? wyl

Date: 28 September (Sat-Sun)

On: MBC

Stars: Hong Soo Hyun, Lee Sang Yeob, Seo Ji Seok.

About: A family drama about the remarriage of two persons in the twilight years of their lives and how their respective families deal with it.

My Opinion: Weekend drama with an episode count of 50. Not my cup of tea and also the show doesn’t have any of my favorites to make me watch it even after the mentioned unexciting reasons. The drama looks adorable though.

King’s Daughter Soo Baek Hyang

Date: 30 September (Daily soap)

On: MBC

Stars: Jo Hyun Jae, Seo Woo, Seo Hyun Jin.

About: A sageuk set during the time of King Muryeong of Baekjae.

My Opinion: Daily drama + sageuk is a combination I can never go onboard with. But of course these shows get very good ratings and if one wants to see their favorites for like 100 episodes, it’s a fair deal to give it a go.

Secret Love (or Secret)

Date: 25 September (Wed-Thur)

On: KBS

Stars: Ji Sung, Hwang Jung Eum, Bae Soo Bin, Lee Da Hee

About: A romantic melodrama about a man who falls in love with a woman who killed his first love (but actually she didn’t and took the blame for her boyfriend in order to protect his future, but he later abandons her).

My Opinion: Yeah….pretty convoluted story, but that’s what makes these melodramas intriguing, right? I like the cast and I haven’t set my eyes on any melo since last year when I watched Nice Guy. As a result, I’m pretty much interested in it.

Suspicious Housekeeper sh

Date: 23 September (Mon-Tue)

On: SBS.

Stars: Choi Ji Woo, Lee Sung Jae, Kim So Hyun, Wang Ji Hye

About: An enigmatic housekeeper who begins working with a family after the mother dies and helps heal their emotional wounds. It is a Korean remake of a hit Japanese series.

My Opinion: The show looks quite suspenseful in terms of atmosphere because I have no idea what’s in store with this one. It might be a mixture of poignancy and mystery, which is appealing but I’m not finding myself much attracted towards the show.

Potato Star 2013QR3

Date: 23 September (Mon-Thur)

On: tvN

Stars: Yeo Jin Goo, Lee Soon Jae, Ha Yun Soo, Go Kyung Pyo

About: A sitcom from High Kick PD which takes a look at the comedic lives of a family put into a sudden, thrilling and emergency situation created by the crashing of two planets.

My Opinion: I would have definitely watched this if only it didn’t have 100 and more episodes. Sigh. It looks like a perfect blend of fun, romance, family and emotions and lots of warmth.
