I never watched Let’s Eat and so it won’t come as a surprise that its second season on tvN leaves me indifferent. I think I can’t get excited for a show where main focus is food. Don’t get me wrong, I love eating but strangely I’m not attracted to fictional shows which are all about food. Anyway, the drama was well received and the second installment Let’s Eat 2 will also be about, well, food. Yoon Doo Joon is reprising his role but it’s a wonder that the drama will not have the original heroine (sadly for fans of the couple) Lee Soo Kyung. Instead, we have Seo Hyun Jin (The Three Musketeers) as the heroine this time.
The show again will depict life of singles with each having a unique taste for food. Yoon Doo Joon’s hero moves to a new building where he meets his grade school classmate, Seo Hyun Jin, who is a food blogger and eats once a day. They’ll be at loggerheads owing to their different natures, in life as well as food. She has a crush on their other neighbour, played by Kwon Yool (She Is Wow), who is a civil servant and vegetarian. The supporting cast includes Kim Hee Won (Misaeng), Jo Eun Ji (Greatest Marriage) and Hwang Seung Eon (Heart To Heart). Let’s Eat franchise surely brings delightful pictures of food one after the other and you can’t help but feel hungry while watching it. It is starting from 6 April, following Ho Goo’s Love (which I’m planning to marathon soon) as the new Monday-Tuesday drama on tvN. Keep your recipe diary ready!
I dropped LET’S EAT like a hot potatoe and heavens know I love me some korean food!!! And the female lead was annoying (except when she ate, I love seeing women eat instead of starving themselves LOL). I wonder why they changed the female lead, which is – sorry for her – a good thing. So I will probably give this one a try.
hahaha…yeah…try saying that to fans of the couple… 😛
I’m a vegetarian and yet, I like to see the scenes when people eat in K-dramas. The food looks so sumptuous! Even the ramen looks yummy!
I won’t be watching this but I’m looking forward to your thoughts on the drama 🙂
