Sunshine Award 2015

sunshine

Kicking off this year’s award season of blogosphere, I’m starting with Sunshine Awards. I’m so thankful to my friends who nominated me and it feels great to share love and compassion through these awards. It gives us a chance to know each other better and write something apart from the regular stuff.

P.S. I’m so sorry for posting the answers so late.

First, The Guidelines:

  • Thank the person who nominated you.
  • Answer the questions from the person who nominated you.
  • Nominate a few other bloggers.
  • Write the same amount of questions for the bloggers you nominated.
  • Notify the bloggers on their blog.
  • Put the award button on your blog.

Questions by

  • If you could live in a large penthouse apartment anywhere in the world where would it be and why.

Well if it’s a penthouse, I guess anywhere would do but the place should be peaceful.

  • What is the one thing you have always wanted to blog about but never had the time and or guts to do?

I always wanted to recap a show on a regular basis but I’ve concluded that it’s not my forte. But I still try once in a while to just satisfy my craving.

  • What is your dream job. As in what job would you want to do if you have the ability or skills to do and why.

Acting! It would let me play all kinds of people and characters. The bonus: I’ll get to romance so many hot actors…hahaha

  • IF you could be an animal, Which would you be and why?

Hmm. Elephant. Because he is so strong.

  • What is your favorite thing about watching dramas?

Romance and feelings and emotions. They take me to a happy place.

Questions by Indigo from Between Worlds:

  •  Kim Woo Bin without his trademark eyebrows or Kim Woo Bin without his deep voice – which version of him would you choose?
Kim Woo Bin without his trademark eyebrows. I love his voice!
  • Choose a K-pop song to describe how you feel about your favourite K-drama actor/K-pop bias. (Feel free to include a line or two from the lyrics to further explain your choice.)
Hmm. I’m in that state where I’m not crazy for any actor as such. I love lots of them but can’t dedicate a song. It doesn’t help that I don’t know many Kpop songs (except the OST ones). Okay…maybe the title song from drama Dream High.
  • Pick two drama titles and mash them into one. Briefly explain the premise of this mash-up drama. (e.g. The Heirs From The Stars)
Flames of Ambition for An incomplete life (Misaeng). I can only imagine what will happen when an epitome of makjang will meet the simple, real Misaeng team!
  • You’re going to noraebang (karaoke) with your Korean friends. It’s your turn to sing, what song will you pick? (It has to be a Korean song)
Farewell Without Farewell by Loveholic from My Name Is Kim Sam Soon OST.
  • Pick three Korean male celebrities of your choice….Okay, ready? Now highlight the hidden text in the following brackets: (Let’s play a round of Kiss, Marry, Kill. Out of these three celebrities, who will you kiss, who will you marry and who will you kill? Let the games begin, muahahahahahaa XD)
Kiss: Gong Yoo/Hyun Bin/Yoon Hyun Min (actually this space is not enough….)
Marry: Kang Ha Neul/ Yoo Seung Ho/ Jung yong Hwa/Minho
  • Which drama do you think would be more interesting to watch if all the leading female characters were male and vice versa?
Heirs 😀

  • Who do you think was a better boyfriend: Gu Jun Pyo from Boys Over Flowers or Kim Tan from The Heirs? Or rather, who was worse?
Lee Min Ho!
  • Finish this sentence: A K-drama is not a K-drama without…
Squee-worthy moments 🙂

And now time for my questions:
  • Your favourite TV series other than Asian.
  • Your favourite actors/actresses: Korean and Non-Korean.
  • The best smell in the world is…….
  • Most inspiring quote from a movie.
  • Is chemistry all about skinship and kissing?
  • Ballad. Yay or nay? Why?
  • Are you into Kpop? If yes, then your favourite group/artist. If no, any other favourite band or singer.

And the nominations are:

First of all, thanks a lot for the nomination snow-chingu, wholeheartedly! Loved going through the questions and the answers, but don’t try recaps, they are both addictive and tormenting XD Once you write a few, as long as time permits it, there’s no turning back XD “Romance and feelings and emotions. They take me to a happy place.” After they pass you through hell in between 😀 Wanna go so badly to a Korean karaoke club and sing incoherent Korean!!! Will get back with my answers as soon as possible, maybe during this week until Sunday! Thanks a lot once again, gomawoyo 🙂

      Thanks a lot for reading!

I can see that you are truly enjoying writing recaps 😛 When do you get time? and energy? Taking screencaps (and I know you take a lot!) is such a tiring task….how do you do that?

Hehe…yes, the ride is not smooth but the ultimate payoff of watching a drama is awesome! Well, in most cases.

LOL@incoherent Korean. Imagine us going to a karaoke club and singing gibberish…haha

Waiting for your answers chingu! 🙂

Yup, it’s an enjoyable task, but it’s exhausting too, i’m trying to find ways to write less while not losing in everything i want to say, but it’s tough to find a solution -.- I’d like to write more articles with less words, but once i start writing… 😛 There are periods i write a lot until i exhaust my energy, then even if i’d love to write, i can’t and articles may take days, like this week, after i pushed myself with the HITTG articles. Hopefully enough i’ll be able to finish smelly girl week 4 article and maybe the lover’s 3rd episode… It would had been awesome going through a gibberish korean karaoke experience XD There’s a chance of delivering the answers today, but i can’t promise anything, but soon for sure 😀 A big minus is that the weather is getting nice and going out feels inevitable for coffee, drinks, food, whatever 😛 And later on swimming at the sea once summer arrives, maybe vacation, but exams for sure during June too >.< Argh, aaaaargh 😀

I can totally understand how difficult it is to maintain these three things: real life, dramas and blogging. Exams surely put a loooooong hiatus on everything!

But chingu, you surely succeed in posting regularly. Unlike me. Sometimes it’s laziness and currently I don’t have a proper net connection 😦

Recap is definitely not my forte either!

Acting looks like one of the most fun job ever. Once you’re established and can afford to refuse roles, I don’t think that you ever get bored.

FOA + Misaeng, crazy combo, would love to see the result 😀

LOL you won’t kill any guy. I see you’ve picked THREE to kiss and FOUR to marry, it was supposed to be one for each action. No, you have to leave me Yoon Hyun Min and Kang HaNeul!!!

The Heirs with the roles reversed would be really something LOL!!! It would be titled “The Heiresses” I guess? Can you imagine the woman Chaebol living with her husband AND taking in the other lover (basically the equivalent of a mistress) for giving her another heiress?

Nooo…..I want them all!!!! Hahaha 😀

I couldn’t think of anyone to kill as I don’t dislike any actor. Haha…now that you wrote the details of reverse Heirs, it seems totally funny and crazy! And imagine the heroines dragging the guy by grabbing their wrist! Now that would be totally awesome. [HATE that drama cliché]

Somebody should make a spoof of what will happen when makjang mixes with Misaeng.. 😉

I wish I could recap a show without getting exhausted or losing fun of watching it!

Acting is a great profession once you’ve reached that level. But it comes with its disadvantages. You can’t have a personal life, you need to continuously keep your body in shape, always look good, can’t eat, etc….hahaha

LOL, you sneaky. You picked a bunch of guys to kiss and marry, but you didn’t kill any of them. Actually you were supposed to pick three guys at first and then read the text between the brackets, so you’d have choose between them three and decide which of them you’ll marry, kiss and kill 😀

But thanks for answering my questions, Snow 🙂

Hehehe…I couldn’t resist looking up further! Actually the space is not enough for the number of K-actors I would have chosen 😉
But I loved your questions…really creative!
