Yay! He’s back! After serving his mandatory military service, Song Joong Ki got officially discharged this week and looks like he in no mood to rest as he attended script reading session for his comeback drama Descended From The Sun just a few days later. It’s great that he chose a drama as his comeback project as most of the actors go for movies before coming back to small screen. Song Joong Ki left on a career high as he delivered hit drama Nice Guy as well as hit movie Werewolf Boy, enthralling masses and classes alike. I feel like an experienced drama watcher now as I’ve seen an actor working, leaving for the army and then back again to the limelight. Heh.
Descended From the Sun comes from star writer Kim Eun Sook and costars Song Hye Kyo, Jin Goo and Kim Ji Won. It is a story about doctors and soldiers working in disaster hit areas. My excitement level has increased further because even if I liked Jin Goo after watching Ad Genius Lee Tae Baek, his recent cameo in Falling For Innocence was a great reminder of this amazing actor’s talents.
The drama will be filmed on various locations, local and abroad and will be free from hectic live shoot system as it will be completely shot in advance. This will be beneficial in various ways — the cast and crew can work without worrying about inconvenient schedules and timings and the story will not undergo any change depending on audience demand. Descended From The Sun is undoubtedly one of the most high-profile and anticipated dramas of the year. It will be directed by the PD of Secret and School 2013 and is slated to air sometime later this year.
While we eagerly await the release of official script reading pics, here is a collage of actors entering the KBS studio for the session. I must say that everyone is looking great and in a good mood.
Yah! Me too! I am super excited about Song Joong Ki back from servicing his country and this highly anticipated drama! Hope it is a good one…just in time to sweep away the winter blues.
Yes….I really want this drama to be good. It has been a while since I watched Song Hye Kyo too, so looking forward to this pairing. Plus, Jin Goo!!!
