Go Hyun Jung headlines SBS legal thriller ‘Return’ with Lee Jin Wook which premieres today

I think dramaland is lately flooded with legal thrillers and the latest one to join the list is SBS thriller Return but I’m really excited for it as it has a whodunnit plot, which is one of my favorite sub-genres in the category. Also, we have a great cast here. Go Hyun Jung is coming back after acclaimed Dear My Friend as a hotshot lawyer who takes up the case of a high society murder where she is defending a rich heir, played by Park Ki Woong (Monster) whose wife Jung Eun Chae (Dr. Frost) hires her. Lee Jin Wook (it feels like it has been a really long time since we have seen him on-screen; his last drama was disappointing Goodbye Mr Black) plays a police detective who will work towards solving the case. The other suspects include Shin Sung Rok (Man Who Dies To Live), Bong Tae Kyu (Personal Taste) and Yoon Jong Hoon (The King Loves).

Return has a new writer and the PD of Take Care Of Us Captain at the helm. It premieres today as the Wednesday-Thursday drama taking the baton from another law-based drama Nothing To Lose.

I am soooooo not a legal thriller type of drama watcher. But all these legal thrillers make me feel like I am missing out on something. I might check out Children of a Lesser God in February though.

Oh that one looks interesting too…plus I really like kang Ji hwan.
Legal thrillers can be very interesting and fun to watch…but of course, too much of something is always boring 😉
