Room No. 9, the upcoming tvN drama, is one of those shows that I never pay attention to initially but once I read in detail about them, I’m excited to give them a try. It is a fantasy drama with an interesting and mysterious premise. Kim Hee Sun (Angry Mom, Woman Of Diginity) stars as a top-notch lawyer with 100 percent success record whose soul gets swapped by that of a death row convict, played by Kim Hae Sook (I Hear Your Voice, Father Is Strange). Kim Young Kwang (Plus Nine Boys, Lookout) plays a doctor who holds the key to the two women’s fate.
We have seen a lot of shows in the past about soul switching (Secret Garden, Please Come Back Ajusshi, Big), but most of them have been comedies or on a lighter side. So it is definitely fresh to see a serious and thrilling show about the same. I also love that the two main protagonists are females.
Room No. 9 is anchored by the PD of Flowers for My Life, Falling for Innocence and Big Man, and penned by the writer of God of Trade – Innkeeper 2015 and Ja Myung Go. It premieres tomorrow, following the Saturday-Sunday star drama Mr. Sunshine which ended its successful run last week.
