I’m tickled pink for upcoming tvN drama Seashore Village ChaChaCha as it stars two of my favorites, Shin Min Ah (My Girlfriend Is A Gumiho, Chief Of Staff) and Kim Seon Ho (Start-Up, Catch The Ghost), in the lead roles. The show is a romantic comedy set in a coastal village with Shin Min Ah playing a brainy but clumsy dentist and Kim Seon Ho starring as an unemployed man who performs all sorts of odd jobs to help the people in the village and is known as Mr. Hong. The show also stars Lee Sang Yi (Once Again) as a successful variety show PD. The drama is a small screen adaptation of 2004 movie Mr. Hong.
The production has set the ball rolling as Seashore Village ChaChaCha recently held its first script reading. The pics have been released and I can see a lot of veteran actors rounding out the cast as supporting characters.
Penned by the writer of sageuk The Crowned Clown and helmed by the director of Hundred Million Stars From the Sky and Oh My Ghost among others, the drama is planned for a premiere date in the second half of 2021.
