There is a new kid on the block in the daily drama universe! Red Shoes starts airing tomorrow on KBS and stars Choi Myung Gil (Punch, Mother of Mine, MiRae’s Choice) and So Yi Hyun (3 Days, Who Are You) in the lead roles. The latter is returning to dramaland after three years since her last drama Fates And Furies.

Red Shoes follows the typical PowerPoint presentation for revenge melodramas where a daughter tries to seek revenge against her cold-hearted mother who left her family in order to find her first love and success. Park Yoon Jae (Indomitable Daughters-in-Law) plays the love interest to So Yi Hyun, a man who doesn’t believe in love. Shin Jung Yoon (The Good Detective) stars as his free-spirited younger brother. I think these kinds of revenge melodramas are extremely over the top but they are also addicting and fun. This one surely has a strong lead cast.

Red Shoes comes from the writer of daily soaps like Ruby Ring and The Great First Wives. It will air from Monday to Friday and will have an episode count of around 100 episodes.
