Highly anticipated drama Narco-Saints is premiering tomorrow on Netflix. The show consists of many top names from the Korean movie and television industry. The cast alone is enough to generate a lot of interest in the show which is a crime thriller about taking down a drug king.
Ha Jung Woo (The Berlin File) plays a businessman in Suriname, the South American country, who gets involved with the team leader of South Korean NIS, played by Park Hae Soo (Prison Playbook, Squid Game), as he helps the organization to take down a drug king, played by Hwang Jung Min (Ode To My Father, Hush), operating in the country. Jo Woo Jin (Happiness) plays the drug king’s right-hand man and Yoo Yeon Seok (Hospital Playlist) plays his lawyer. Taiwanese actor Chang Chen (Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon) stars as the head of a Chinese gang. Choo Ja Hyun (My Unfamiliar Family) plays Ha Jung Woo’s wife.
Narco-Saints will have a total of only 6 episodes and all episodes would be released together for binge watching. The drama is helmed by Yoon Jong Bin, the director of movies like Nameless Gangster: Rules Of The Time (2012) and Kundo : Age Of The Rampant (2014) — who has also cowritten the drama.
