May I Help You? is the new MBC drama arriving on October 19. It is a fantasy romance about a funeral director who can see ghosts and a man who runs errands at a cost of 10 cents. The drama is penned by the writer of 20th Century Boy And Girl, who was also one of the writers of Reply 1997 — which surely makes me look forward to this one.
Hyeri (of Kpop group Girl’s Day and dramas Reply 1988 and My Roommate Is A Gumiho) stars as a funeral director who can see ghosts. She works to grant wishes of the dead. Unless she fulfils the wishes, her day continues to have bad luck. Lee Jun Young (Kpop group U-KISS; dramas D.P., Let Me Be Your Knight) plays the only employee of aforementioned daily errands service Ildangbaek. They both somehow end up working together.
Song Duk Ho (Taxi Driver, Link: Eat, Love, Kill) stars as a police officer who falls in love at first sight with the heroine and Lee Kyu Han (Que Sera, Sera, She Would Never Know) plays Ildangbaek’s boss and hero’s uncle.
May I Help You? restarts the slot of Wednesday & Thursday on MBC as the last drama to air in the slot was 2021’s On The Verge Of Insanity.
