Netflix is bringing a new romance movie titled 20th Century Girl and its plot sounds very nostalgic and old school — definitely my cup of tea. The movie is headlined by Kim Yoo Jung, who has proved her talent through dramas like Love In The Moonlight, The Moon Embracing The Sun, Clean With Passion For Now and Red Sky. She plays a 17 year old girl who agrees to help her best friend in finding details about her crush and falls in love in the process. The year is 1999 and the plot follows the main character reminiscing about her past.

The best friend is played by Roh Yoon Seo (Our Blues), the crush is played by Park Jung Woo (Team Bulldog: Off-duty Investigation) and Byeon Woo Seok (Record Of Youth, Moonshine) plays crush’s closest friend from whom the heroine collects information and she falls in love with him.

The film is directed by Bang Woo Ri who is making her feature film debut with this. She has won Blue Dragon Film Award for her short film Mrs. Young. 20th Century Girl is releasing on October 21 on Netflix.
