I loved Yoo Seung Ho in I’m Not a Robot (2017) — his only drama that I’ve seen so far. The actor has confirmed his next show as Wavve’s Deal. It is a crime thriller drama based on an award-winning 2021 webtoon of the same title. It is about a fake kidnapping gone wrong. This is a popular trope used in thrillers and comedies and I’m interested to know how Deal would make it different. Yoo Seung Ho is joined by Kim Dong Hwi (Missing: The Other Side 2) and Yoo Su Bin (Start-Up, Crash Landing On You) in the cast.

All three actors play former high school classmates in their 20s. They get together for drinks and somehow their conversation leads to planning a fake kidnapping. Yoo Seung Ho plays a man who was a rising soccer player back in high school era but is now struggling to get his life together. Kim Dong Hwi stars as a medical student who is the mastermind of this kidnapping in order to achieve some goal. Yoo Su Bin plays a man from a rich family who plays the victim of the fake kidnaping. This fake kidnapping takes an unexpected turn which puts all three in danger.

Deal is planning for a 2023 premiere.
