I have been meaning to do an update post for so long and finally it’s here! A brief info on what’s keeping my drama hours busy:
Curtain Call (2022)
Watched: 2 Episodes
A solid start! I appreciate the old school vibe I’m getting as it has been a long time since we got dramas like that. The drama did a great job of establishing the characters and I love that the main characters aren’t colored with stereotypical shades.
Through The Darkness (2022)
Watched: 4 Episodes
Absolutely amazing! The show is dark, gritty, realistic and captivating. The late 90s setting adds to its freshness and Kim Nam Gil is fantastic as a calm and composed and intelligent cop/ criminal profiler.
Love Is For Suckers (2022)
Watched: 8 Episodes
Friends to lovers is one of my all time favourite tropes and drama handles it well. We have candid conversations, angst and warmth. I’m also enjoying the cheesy but fun stories of the reality show. Hated the ex boyfriend and I’m glad that arc got over so soon! The main couple has great chemistry and I’m enjoying frenemy dynamics between the heroine and her colleague Kang Chae Ri (and this character is so much fun to watch).
