Netflix is bringing a new Korean movie next month called My Name Is Loh Kiwan. It is headlined by popular actor Song Joong Ki, who was last seen in 2023 movie Hopeless and on small screen, in highly acclaimed 2022 drama Reborn Rich.

The film is a love story between a North Korean defector, played by Song Joong Ki, and a former shooting athlete, played by Choi Sung Eun (The Sound Of Magic), both living in Belgium. He has recently arrived in the country in order to start a new life and is hoping to get approved as a refugee in Belgium. She is a Korean but with a Belgian citizenship. She has lost all hope and reason to live after her mother’s death. Both of them meet and fall in love in the midst of their struggles and opposite circumstances.

Kim Sung Ryung (Heirs) plays the hero’s mother while Lee Il Hwa (Reply 1988) plays mother of the female lead.

My Name Is Loh Kiwan is releasing on March 1 on Netflix. It is directed by Kim Hee Jin.
