I didn’t plan back to back Byun Yo Han posts but here we are! The actor had drama Uncle Samsik premiere on May 15 and there was also the release of his movie Following — also on May 15! It is a mystery thriller that also stars amazing Shin Hye Sun (Mr. Queen) and Lee El (My Liberation Notes). The film is doing great at the box office.

Following stars Byun Yo Han as a real estate agent Gu Jung Tae whose hobby is to peek into the lives of other people. He sometimes uses his job to enter his clients’ homes to pursue his hobby. One of those people is star influencer Han So Ra, played by Shin Hye Sun, who posts staged stuff that she doesn’t actually follow in real life. In trying to find more about her, one day Jung Tae enters her house (as she is his client) but there he finds her dead. As a result, he becomes the prime suspect in her murder. Lee El plays the homicide detective who is investigating So Ra’s murder.

The plot is intriguing and sounds a bit like Alfred Hitchcock classic Rear Window (1954) — the difference is here the main character is stalking others, even entering their homes, instead of spying through the window like in that movie.

Following is directed by Kim Se Hwi. It released last month and has reached more than 1 million moviegoers. Congrats to the team!
