I’m starting this new segment wherein I’ll be writing about a song from the myriad of drama OSTs that I really liked. They can range from fast, peppy numbers to romantic and poignant ballads. Music plays a very indispensable role in a drama—it helps in increasing the emotional feels we get from it and makes the mood of any scene much more effective. Dramas have a wide range of songs to display the story—be it romance or comedy or thriller. Without much ado, let’s go through my pick for today:
Do I Have To Say Sorry from Delightful Girl Choon Hyang OST
If you read this blog regularly (I hope so! 😉 ), you might know that there is one drama that I love to pieces and that is Delightful Girl Choon Hyang. And it is only natural that I’m choosing a song from its soundtrack to commence this new category of post. Apart from being my first drama and hence the automatic affection, it is itself a very fun, cute, quirky show and well, it is written by the Hong Sisters, so you can expect all the goodies that their dramas always have. And it has a lot of heart. Plus, Jae Hee. In addition, the perfect chemistry between him and Han Chae Young makes this drama simply awesome.
This is one of those cases where I loved all the songs of the series — you have every type here: the fast and energetic number, sad ballads and romantic ballads. My most favorite is Do I Have To Say Sorry. It’s a soft romantic number which is amazingly soothing. It is a slow ballad but very sweet and cheery. It is played during various occasions in the drama, but I like its instrumental version more. Every time I hear this song, I feel nostalgic about the days when I first started this journey into dramaland. The song is performed by As One.
