It is like a wish come true when two of your favorite actors are cast together in a drama and new tvN melo Hundred Million Stars From The Sky aka The Smile Has Left Your Eyes is one such show, that stars Seo In Guk and Jung So Min in the lead roles. The drama is a Korean remake of popular 2002 Japanese drama Sora Kara Furu Ichioku no Hoshi (also, One Million Stars Falling from the Sky). I’ve read that it is a dark tale but since I’m someone who hate spoilers, I never read details about it. Korean dramas tend to be relatively lighter, so I guess we can expect that from Hundred Million Stars From The Sky as well.
Jung So Min stars as a girl who is drawn towards Seo In Guk’s character, but her detective brother, played by Park Sung Woong, suspects that he has some hidden side to him than meets the eye. Basically the show is a melodrama with a mystery angle. All promotional material looks emotion heavy and I think it’s a nice change for the actors to work on a project with a serious and melodramatic story line as we have usually seen them in romantic-comedies.
Hundred Million Stars From The Sky starts today and it is taking up the Wednesday-Thursday slot from time twister fantasy Familiar Wife.
Ichioku (一億) is rightly “one hundred million”, and not one million (which would be 百万, hyaku man).
