This one surely looks chilling! Im Shi Wan, who was fantastic in his breakthrough role in 2014’s Misaeng, is returning to dramaland post his army duty with OCN’s thriller Strangers From Hell and kudos for choosing an atypical drama! He stars as a man moving to big city Seoul from a small town when he gets a job there and taking up residence in an apartment building where all his neighbours seem weird and suspicious. The hero is an aspiring novelist. The only neighbour who seems relatively helpful and normal is Lee Dong Wook‘s character. But that is again a mystery if he really is good or has darker secrets inside his heart. The actor was just recently seen in romance drama Touch Your Heart and it’s refreshing to see him taking on a very different role here.
Lee Jung Eun (The Light in Your Eyes) plays the landlady while a number of veteran actors will form the community of the apartment. And of course, strange neighbours. Strangers From Hell is based on a popular webtoon and will be directed by the PD of 2018 thriller movie The Vanished that starred Kim Kang Woo and Kim Sang Kyung.
Strangers From Hell starts airing this week from August 31 as a weekend drama, with a total of 10 episodes.
Agree, it definitely looks chilling!
IKR! The atmosphere and characters in the posters…so creepy!
