Usually it’s OCN that brings thrillers one after the other to make our screens chilly but the new drama The Game: Towards Zero from the genre is arriving on MBC. It is a supernatural thriller with Taecyeon playing a character who has the ability to see others’ deaths by looking into their eyes. Lee Yeon Hee plays a detective and both team up for solving a 20-year old murder. Taecyeon is returning to dramaland after 3 years, his last show also being a thriller, Save Me. He went for his military service after that. The actress is returning after 3 years as well, with her last appearance being in The Package.

The show also stars Im Joo Hwan as a forensic medical examiner. I just hope the drama doesn’t make him the main culprit, that will be too cliched and predictable! Im Joo Hwan did 2 dramas in 2019 — The Great Show and Different Dreams.

The Game: Towards Zero will be premiering next week in the Wednesday-Thursday slot. It is penned by one of the writers of The King of Dramas, which I absolutely loved. So that puts this show definitely on my plan-list. It is directed by the PD of Bad Thief, Good Thief and The Time.
