MBN is premiering a new historical drama titled Bossam: Steal The Fate today. The ‘bossam’ in the title refers to a custom of the Joseon period where a widow was kidnapped in the middle of the night for her remarriage as widows in that period were not allowed to get married again according to normal practice.

Bossam: Steal The Fate stars Jung Il Woo as a mysterious rogue who accidentally kidnaps a princess, played by Yuri (Girl’s Generation, dramas Defendant, Fashion King), who is also a widow. Shin Hyun Soo (the cute senior from Age Of Youth) plays a man with a pure heart and one-sided love for the heroine since their childhood. Jung Il Woo has previously shown his impressive performance in sagueks (historical shows) in dramas like The Return Of Iljimae, The Moon That Embraces The Sun and Haechi.

The plot surely sounds interesting with potential to be quite romantic. It’s directed by the PD of dramas like Pasta, Miss Korea and Avengers Social Club, whereas the writing is by the writer of Birthcare Center and Surplus Princess.

Bossam: Steal The Fate airs on Saturdays and Sundays starting today. Other MBN shows include My Dangerous Wife, Devilish Joy and Fluttering Warning.
