Kdramas have become a global phenomena in past few years, thanks to multiple streaming platforms. Disney+ keeps bringing an abundance of Korean shows and latest is workplace drama Race, headlined by Lee Yeon Hee of The Package (2017) and Miss Korea (2013) fame. She plays a woman who doesn’t have qualification or connection but gets recruited for her passion. One day, she encounters a recruitment scandal and the show is about how she survives and protects her job in this chaotic situation.
Hong Jong Hyun (Mother Of Mine) plays her friend and colleague, Moon So Ri (Queenmaker) plays an expert the PR field with whom the female lead starts working and Kpop group TVXQ‘s Yunho (Meloholic) plays the CEO of the PR agency.
Race is written by screenwriter of Hyena (2020). It premieres on May 10 on Disney+ and Hulu with a total of 12 episodes.
