Marriage of convenience is one of my favorite tropes and this Friday brings not 1 but 2 Korean dramas having a contract marriage! LOL. I talked about My Demon yesterday; the other show is The Story Of Park’s Marriage Contract. Another similarity between the two dramas is the fantasy genre.

The Story Of Park’s Marriage Contract stars Lee Se Young (The Red Sleeve) as a woman in the Joseon dynasty whose husband dies on her wedding day due to a heart disease. She gets thrown into a well by an unknown person and somehow she travels through time and arrives in present day Seoul. There she meets a rich man, played by Bae In Hyuk (Under The Queen’s Umbrella), who believes in logic and facts rather than emotions. And his face is exactly like her husband from the past. Somehow both of them end up entering into a contract marriage.

I love Lee Se Young and the premise of the drama looks interesting. I have not seen Bae In Hyuk in anything yet but have read good things about him. The show is based on a webtoon.

Yoo Sun Ho (Under The Queen’s Umbrella) plays male lead’s half-brother and an influencer who falls for the heroine and Joo Hyun Young (Behind Every Star) stars as female lead’s best friend and attendant.

The Story Of Park’s Marriage Contract premieres on November 24 on MBC in the slot of Fridays & Saturdays, with 12 episodes in total.
