The upcoming Korean movie Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint can be called star-studded in the truest sense of the word. It stars so many hot names — Lee Min Ho (The King: Eternal Monarch), Ahn Hyo Seop (Business Proposal), Chae Soo Bin (I’m Not a Robot), Nana (Kpop group After School; Mask Girl), Jisoo (Kpop group BlackpinkSnowdrop), Shin Seung Ho (Alchemy Of Souls), Park Ho San (My Mister) and Choi Young Joon (Hospital Playlist).

Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint is about a man, played by Ahn Hyo Seop, whose life turns into that of an obscure fantasy web novel he was reading. He is an ordinary office employee who is the only person who has read the web novel to its end and knows its ending. Not only him but his peers also get involved in this fictional world that has become real. Chae Soo Bin plays his coworker who becomes a great strength as he struggles in this difficult world of the web novel. Choi Young Joon plays his company superior.

Lee Min Ho plays the lead character of that web novel, with perfect looks and fighting skills, who endlessly gets another chance to redo his life after death.  Shin Seung Ho, Jisoo, Park Ho San and Nana will be other characters of the said novel.

This plot reminds me of the 2018 Korean drama Memories Of The Alhambra that starred Hyun Bin and which also had a similar premise of a game becoming real.

Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint is definitely highly anticipated with this cast and the plot sounds interesting too. It is based on an eponymous web novel and is directed by Kim Byung Woo who has helmed movies like The Terror Live (2013) and Take Point (2018). It began filming in December.
