I’m a fan of the workplace romance trope, and this upcoming tvN drama, Filing for Love, is an office rom-com and features leads I’m really excited about. Shin Hye Sun just had a premiere in the form of mystery thriller The Art Of Sarah and this drama will see her as a tough and eccentric team leader of an audit department at a company called Haemu Group. Gong Myung, who was really good in Be Melodramatic, plays an efficient employee who suddenly gets demoted to a team that handles internal misconduct. His smooth life gets disturbed when he meets Shin Hye Sun’s character.
Kim Jae Wook (Melo Movie), who is always amazing in every role he plays, stars as a third generation chaebol who runs Haemu Group. He is someone who conceals a deep inner emptiness beneath a flawless, refined exterior. Hong Hwa Yeon (The Price Of Confession) rounds out the main cast as his secretary. Thinking her beauty only complicated her life, she has kept her guard up—until she faces her first powerful, unrequited love. I’m really hoping that these two have a second love story instead of love triangles.
Filing for Love is arriving this Saturday on April 25th. The screenwriter previously wrote Crash Course in Romance, which I mostly enjoyed, so I’m hoping this new drama will be just as entertaining—ideally with a fun tone and a swoon-worthy romance. I’m absolutely buzzing with excitement for this show.
