Delightful Girl Choon Hyang was my first drama and I totally love it. It remains my most favorite drama. It received high ratings during its run and is the first drama written by the Hong Sisters (You’re Beautiful, My Girl, Best Love). After we got the stills of adorable Lee Seung Gi in his very first sageuk look for the fantasy drama Gu Family Book, here are the stills featuring our heroine Suzy, who looks charming as well. She is playing the role of Dam Yeo Wool, a daughter of a martial arts teacher. She herself is well-trained in it, along with bow and arrow. I’m liking the fact that our heroine is a brave and smart warrior, with a badass attitude. Her father in the drama is Jo Sung Ha (Sungkyunkwan Scandal), also featured in the pictures. It sure seems like I’m writing so many posts about weekend dramas. The new entry is the MBC drama I Summon You, Gold. The drama stars Yeon Jung Hoon in the lead role, and that I find really interesting. I love it when the action heroes star in a romance, comedy drama as it gives me a chance to swoon over them in a romantic role as well!! I haven’t got the chance to see the much acclaimed show Vampire Prosecutor, but I can understand it to a T that it’s completely different from his role in this weekend drama. The female lead is Han Ji Hye (May Queen), who I found cute and adorable in Sweet 18. Continue reading

I first heard about Suzy when she was cast for Big, as I didn’t see Dream High up till then. I wasn’t greatly impressed by her acting in the latter, but felt that she was likable. Her character was also written in such a manner that she had to act expressionless. She was completely fit for that role. Same goes for Big, where I loved her scenes with Baek Sung Hyun. Although the drama failed to fulfill my expectations, they were sweet together. Continue reading
