Goong was the second drama I watched as wherever I searched for good Kdramas, it was one of the topmost recommendations everywhere. I have mixed feelings regarding it: some parts were really cute and romantic, while the others were plain boring. The second lead Kim Jung Hoon‘s scenes also come under the latter category as I couldn’t like the fact that a person was trying so hard to get a married girl and it kept on annoying me when he consoled the heroine every time she had an argument with her husband. Anyways, it was all due to the character but I liked Kim Jung Hoon as an actor, but not particularly my favorite. After Goong, he appeared in shows like the mockable comedy drama Witch Amusement (which also starred my favorite Jae Hee) and tvN’s much praised rom-com I Need Romance. And now, he is back on small screen with cable channel JTBC’s new drama Her Legend. The drama is about two women with switched fates and a man who has everything. Doesn’t say much, I know. The two female leads are Choi Jung Won (Wish Upon a Staras the hard working, poor and bright girl who finds success in luxury handbag industry and Son Eun Seo (May Queen) as a woman who hides her true identity to succeed. Kim Jung Hoon is the rich chaebol who has brains and looks. These character descriptions look like coming from the scripts of every drama out there and do not garner any interest from me. But a plus point about the show is that the PD did Jealousy, a 1992 drama that started it all: the trendy rom-coms.

Her Legend will air from July after Heartless City (which is being loved by so many) wraps up on JTBC.
