Finally it’s here! One of the most anticipated dramas of the year is arriving this week on SBS — Legend Of The Blue Sea. The leading actors are the reason for its hype — Lee Min Ho and Jeon Ji Hyun star in this fantasy romance where she plays a mermaid and he is a con artist. The writer is another factor, who wrote superhit You From Another Star and last year’s The Producers, with older shows like Queen Of Housewives and You Who Rolled In Unexpectedly under her belt. I love how her dramas have lots of humour and heart and fun and that is what I’m expecting from this latest one as well.

The supporting cast includes Lee Hee Joon (Yoona’s Street) and Shin Won Ho (I’m so happy with his casting! He appeared in Big in 2012 and I wonder why it took him so long to do another acting project. I really loved him in that single episode of Big because for rest of the drama, we all know what happened to his character). Both the actors are playing our hero’s partners in crime. Shin Hye Sun (She Was Pretty) plays a researcher and Lee Min Ho’s friend.

The drama will actually travel through centuries as we also see our leads in the Joseon era. I’m loving both the leads in the promotional stills and the posters are beautiful — like a painting! Lee Min Ho is giving me vibes of his City Hunter character in few stills (LOVE) and it’s great that the drama is directed by the same PD who has also helmed shows like Shining Inheritance, Doctor Stranger and Master’s Sun.

Legend Of The Blue Sea will be a Wednesday-Thursday drama and it premieres tomorrow. Yay!
