JTBC is known for bringing quality content in dramaland and hence, despite a premise that is done many time before — reunion of a separated couple — there is hope that the new show The Wind Blows will be something different and quality-wise good. It stars Kam Woo Sung and Kim Ha Neul as a couple who meets after 6 years since their divorce. They were happily married but the husband is diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease and hence, in order to not make his wife suffer, he divorces her.

Kam Woo Sung and Kim Ha Neul both have appeared in a lot of melodramas in their careers. Like Shall We Kiss First, My Spring Days and Alone in Love for him; and On the Way to the Airport and On Air for her. I’m mildly interested in the show because of the actors and the network.

The Wind Blows is directed by the PD of Flower Boy Ramyun Shop and Flower Boy Next Door and it is penned by the screenwriter of Lie To Me and Mrs. Cop. The drama also stars Kim Ga Eun (Because This Life Is Our First) as a young woman who is very optimistic in life and Kim Sung Chul (The Player) as the CEO of a special effects company. The premiere is today in the Monday-Tuesday slot. The posters and stills look gorgeous, washed in spring aura.
