tvN is bringing another fantasy drama to its roster after recently premiered Hotel Del Luna. The new show is slated to start today, and is titled When The Devil Calls Your Name. It reunites Jung Kyung Ho and Park Sung Woong after well-loved 2018 drama Life on Mars. The show is inspired by the 18th century German play Faust. It surely sounds fresh and intriguing.
Jung Kyung Ho plays a star songwriter who makes a deal with the devil where he sells his soul to him in exchange of success and money. When the contract is about to expire, he plays a dangerous game by keeping his life as collateral. But he finds out that all his success and money was given to him by stealing the talent and life of a young girl, played by Lee Seol (Less Than Evil). Park Sung Woong plays a top actor who is possessed by the devil and Lee El (Goblin, Liar Game) plays the CEO of the agency for the hero.
The cast is solid for the show and plotwise, as I said before, it looks super exciting. When The Devil Calls Your Name is helmed by the PD of well-received sci-fi drama Circle. It is penned by the writer of Please, Come Back Ajhussi. It will air on Wednesdays and Thursdays.
