Two actors, that I really like, coming together for a modern romcom! Yes please!

Kim Da Mi, who won hearts everywhere with her performance in Itaewon Class, is pairing up with Choi Woo Shik for new SBS drama which is going by plenty of titles — Our Beloved Summer, Us That Year and That Year, We. I loved Choi Woo Shik’s performance in Ho Goo’s Love and Parasite but he has focused on movies more in past years than dramas, where he usually plays supporting characters.

Our Beloved Summer is an exes-to-lovers story which sounds super cute and romantic. It’s about a high school couple that broke up years ago but then has to come together when a documentary they filmed 10 years ago gains popularity. Choi Woo Shik plays an immature and free spirited person while Kim Da Mi plays a woman who wanted to be on top but now she is trying to adjust with practicality in life. The two actors have worked together before in movie The Witch back in 2018.

The supporting cast includes Kim Sung Cheol (Vincenzo, Sweet Home) as a documentary director and Noh Jung Ui (18 Again) as a top idol named NJ.

Our Beloved Summer is scheduled to premiere in second half of 2021.
