tvN is bringing a new mystery drama titled Adamas and it features Ji Sung in a double role — as twin brothers. This is not the first time the actor is depicting multiple characters. His Kill Me, Heal Me (2015) didn’t have more than one character but he played a man suffering from multiple personality disorder with 7 personalities. He was amazing in it and we can expect similar powerful performance again.

Adamas is a story of twin brothers who try to find the truth behind a 22 years old murder. Their biological father was accused of killing their step father. Presently he has received a death sentence. When the brothers discover that he was falsely accused, they start their search for the truth. One brother is a bestselling mystery novelist while the other is a prosecutor. Ji Sung was last seen in drama The Devil Judge (2021).

Seo Ji Hye, of Crash Landing On You fame, plays a woman who married into a rich family but one day she rebels and starts helping the novelist secretly. Lee Soo Kyung, who played the sassy twin sister in Ho Goo’s Love, stars as a righteous reporter. She has a secret related to the twin brothers.

I’m very much intrigued by the premise of Adamas, which looks like a thrilling adventurous ride. It is being directed by the PD of Kairos — definitely a win as the drama is one of the best thrillers I have ever seen. Adamas is slated to start in the second half of 2022.
