I’m not a huge fan of Korean historical dramas but I do enjoy some entries from the genre from time to time. I’m currently in love with fantasy sageuk (aka historical dramas) Alchemy Of Souls. MBC is coming up with a new sageuk titled Joseon Lawyer. It has confirmed Woo Do Hwan, Kpop group WJSN’s Bona and VIXX’s Cha Hak Yeon as its lead cast.

I loved Woo Do Hwan in The King: Eternal Monarch. He went for mandatory military service after that and has already signed on his first project since his return — that’s Netflix drama Hunting Dogs and Joseon Lawyer would be his second. As the name suggests, he plays the titular lawyer who started his practice in order to avenge the death of his parents, but eventually he becomes a skilled attorney. Bona recently starred in Twenty-Five Twenty-One. She will play a princess who cares deeply for the country and the people. Cha Hak Yeon, also known as N, plays a judge who belongs to a prestigious family and believes in fair judgement. The singer-actor has starred in shows like Mine and Bad And Crazy.

Joseon Lawyer will start filming soon.
