tvN is bringing a mystery drama called Little Women starring Kim Go Eun (Yumi’s Cells), Nam Ji Hyun (100 Days My Prince) and Park Ji Hoo (All of Us Are Dead) as three sisters who spent life in poverty but have to face one of the wealthiest families after getting entangled in an incident. The show is loosely based on classic novel Little Women by Louisa May Alcott. It is penned by the writer of show Mother and movies The Handmaiden and Thirst.
Kim Go Eun plays the eldest sister who wants to protect her family using money, Nam JI Hyun plays the second sister who is a news reporter and a very righteous person, and Park Ji Hoo plays the youngest sister who is an art student and thinks that her sisters’ love is sometimes overwhelming for her.
Wi Ha Joon (Squid Game) won my heart with Romance Is A Bonus Book role and I’m so happy to see him here. He plays an elite consultant who starts working with Kim Go Eun’s character.
The aforementioned rich family consists of lawyer and rookie politician, played by Uhm Ki Joon (Penthouse), his wife, played by Uhm Ji Won (Sign) and his daughter, played by Jeon Chae Eun (The Devil Judge). Kang Hoon (The Red Sleeve) rounds out the cast as Nam Ji Hyun’s childhood friend.
I love the cast, the writer has penned solid projects and the premise sounds interesting too. Bonus — the drama is also available on Netflix! And it has a total of only 12 episodes. It starts airing next week from September 3 following my current favourite Alchemy Of Souls.
