Song Joong Ki is one of those actors whose projects are always highly anticipated. He has won many hearts with shows like Sungkyunkwan Scandal, Nice Guy, Descendants of the Sun and Vincenzo. His new drama is a fantasy titled Reborn Rich and it is premiering today on JTBC. The plot sounds quite compelling.

Song Joong Ki stars as a loyal secretary to a rich family that owns Sunyang Group. He gets wrongly accused for embezzlement by this family and he dies in the process. He is born again as the family’s youngest son and he plans revenge for the wrong done to him. The story spans from 1980s to 2000s. Lee Sung Min (Misaeng) stars as the head of the aforementioned family. He is reborn son’s grandfather and president of Sunyang Group. It will be interesting to see the actor in a role which looks very different from the previous ones. Hospital Playlist‘s Shin Hyun Bin stars as a prosecutor from the Anti-Corruption Investigation Department who tries to investigate the company.

Yoon Je Moon (The King 2 Hearts) stars as the eldest son of Sunyang group and Kim Jung Nan (Mouse) stars as his wife. Kim Hyun (Link: Eat, Love, Kill) plays Lee Sung Min’s character’s wife. The show has a long list of characters who form the main family at the center of the drama.

Song Joong Ki has played hero with a vengeance in Nice Guy and an antihero in Vincenzo. So it will be interesting to see how he makes the role in Reborn Rich different. The drama is based on a webtoon. It is penned for screen by the writer of Sungkyunkwan Scandal and Beautiful Mind.
